Great that your apartment has a patio, and that you're in an area that your succulents should thrive in (I think, never been to Texarkana).

I left a message for you over on the Cacti/Succulents thread before I realized that I should put an @ sign before your name. :(

Since I just started gardening this summer (after moving to a new apartment in mid-June -- with a good-sized patio) I haven't gotten too attached to my plants, but they do feel like babies to me -- but without the crying and whining, LOL.

I've had a few die, but mostly annuals, which is part of the cycle.

Succulents are so rewarding, their resilience and determination to survive/propagate is heartwarming and rewarding.

Hope it doesn't rain on your moving day.

Look forward to your updates, as I'm a complete novice when it comes to gardening. I'll need to make a list of plants that will be my indoor companions as winter approaches.
