When we were there, gardens were not on our minds. Would be interesting to go back again and look at it from that perspective. I wonder to what extent have they done the work of reconstructing some 18th century gardens? Looks like they've done some research in that direction. http://www.history.org/almanac...

Well, back to my 21st century backyard... Took just 2 photos this morning on my garden walkaround.

1) The blooms on my bean plant, which are a pretty lavender
2) My Lobelia cardinalis which is really going to town these days
