When we were there, gardens were not on our minds. Would be interesting to go back again and look at it from that perspective. I wonder to what extent have they done the work of reconstructing some 18th century gardens? Looks like they've done some research in that direction.

Well, back to my 21st century backyard... Took just 2 photos this morning on my garden walkaround.
1) The blooms on my bean plant, which are a pretty lavender
2) My Lobelia cardinalis which is really going to town these days
