What you need to do to prepare your daylilies for winter depends on a few different things. The main thing would be your location and how cold your winters get. Are you plants in pots, or in the garden, knowing things like that would let members post more relevant answers to your question.


Thank you. They will be planted in September. The weather is totally hot presently - 90's. The winters in central Illinois are usually freezing. If planted within two weeks, I am hoping that they will have time to settle in the new location before the onset of winter. What can I do to help them ready for the cold winter?
