Okay, this idea couldn't have come at a better time. I must add this stupid thing I did just last night. I was cutting back some ratty looking daylilies with scissors for about 1/2 hour when something like a mosquito started coming around my face. It had bugged me for a few minutes and I was getting frustrated. I raised my hand (yep, the one holding the scissors) to shoo it away and hit my eyebrow with the side of the scissors. I gave up and went inside feeling very foolish and also very lucky that I did not hit my eye.

Safety glasses are cheap and easy to find. I love the Uvex Astrospec 3000 safety glasses (under $10) because the frame is made for smaller faces and they do not slide off when bending down. I even keep a pair of them in my husband's toolbox because I get roped into helping him with his projects sometimes. If he's using a power tool, the glasses go on!
