Okay, my Facebook feed is filling up with people talking about the "Puss Caterpillar" (aka Flannel Moth) and warning people about them. I actually had a lady at the museum ask me yesterday if it was a Facebook hoax and I assured her they were real but that in seven years of raising caterpillars, I'd never seen one. Meanwhile, everyone is panicking. The article says they like oaks and elms. I have oaks all over my neighborhood (doesn't everyone in Tampa?) and we have both oaks and elms at MOSI. Anyway, if you're interested, here's the article. And tell me if you've ever seen or been stung by one.
