Yup, it's a balancing act for sure here. I move mine into a little more sun in the winter, October-ish through March but then start sheltering them from our strong rays again. We have very clean air here, too - no industry to make air pollution, although we do have lots of cars. We also have flat terrain and regular winds to clear the pollution out to sea, thankfully.

I take down my Aluminet on the west-facing wall of the cage for the winter, but have to put it on the calendar to go back up before things get too toasty.
