Perennial sunflower types of plants can be very difficult to ID, Mother Raphaela, but to me this one doesn't appear to be maximiliani. Leaves of Helianthus maximiliani are very long and slender, and individual flower stems are typically too short for cutting use. One of the many varieties of Heliopsis helianthoides might fit your plant, but it'll take a much closer study to determine if it is.
