I just re-read this whole thread and I must have missed where
@ckatNM mentioned that she had also bought Marigold seeds that didn't germinate. That really makes me think that she just got some seeds that weren't stored properly. CKat, have you considered doing mail order for your seeds? If you keep an eye on the Garden Deals forum, you can very likely find a free shipping or discount offer. There are lots of good seed sources out there.
