Hugelkultur? I thought there was a specific forum for this subject but can't seem to find it. A new member in a welcoming letter has asked about the pros/cons of planting a hugeklultur bed in a half circle around the base of a small mulberry tree and since I don't know a thing about Hugelkultur gardening I didn't know how to advise her. My thought is that piling additional soil, wood, cardboard etc. atop an area of tree roots would be detrimental to the tree, perhaps suffocating the roots but again, I don't know. I did supply links to her for the articles I found regarding Hugelkultur but I thought maybe she could get some advice from the folks who actually have made these types of beds if I can point her in the direction of the forum.

Thanks so much!
