I've driven through the desert from So CAL through Tucson..... and on to Nashville.
It was a full 24 hours of nothin but desert - and NOT the lovely desert either, just low cactus & scrub.
I thought it would never end.
I think that stretch was from approaching Tuscon to approaching dfw.....
desert, night sleep desert ALL DAY, night sleep, desert again.
