Most of mine always germinate. I start them in December and keep them inside under lights until they are quite tall. I only put 2 seeds in each of the plastic 10 oz cups that I use. I do not put them directly into the ground. They remain in pots. I can take most of them indoors and/or give them away when it get too cold outside. They come back the next year and do bloom a little in the house.
