William - I will be very interested to read what you have to write about rooting cuttings of roses. That is something I have been thinking about trying. Put me on your list of those you might consider sharing/trading with when you do! I, too, love roses. Didn't know that own root were stronger roses. Maybe that is why my roses are doing so well. All are own root roses grown from very small seedlings that I got in different co-ops over the past few years.

If you or anyone else here share any cuttings of Serendipity, please put me on the wish list. I'd really like to try one that is considered hardy/tough and grow it in the ground. I'll make a place for it in my front yard which has better soil. What kind of fertilizer do you use, William? I've been using MiracleGrow.
