Well.. see.. that was my idea.. months and months ago when i got all this soil.. from lowes or home depot.. and If yoi have read some of yhe posts when i first came on you will see I wasnhaving issues with mold amd fungus mushroom etc.. I honstly never ever had that before.. ever. If I hadnt had to keep all the plants indoors at that time it wouldnt have been so bad.. but headaches etc.. I dont do well with alot of mold.. and I dontvthink I ever explained why I thougjt it happened.. cant recall .. I dont think so because I felt so freakin stupid. I had put allbthis soil in a plastic bin the kind you use for storage slealing lids etc.. and I tend to put a big sheet down in my livingroom and repot.. I like cold air not dying in the sun air... I opened the bin and the smell .. and specks of white stuff everywhere.. I tried to get it outside and just the prezsure of opening it .. it was in the air.. and stupid ass me then did another stupid thing.. my brain just wasnt working I seperated the bag that hadnt been opened.. and poured it into a bucket and used it... now not thinking ob yea... those bags all have holes in them.. becUse of the moisture control soil.. and see earlier before I stored the soil I used a few rocks from outside.. again never had an issue with it before doing that... rinsed etc.. but no sterilizing or amything.. they got thrpwn in the container too.. then after all that and me stupidly usong that other bag .. pop .. mushrroms white thick stuff on pots.. not the same look or feel as the mineral buildup.. headaches sneezing etc...so I got scated to store that way.. was it the soil and closed container or was it the couple of rocks that caused the kold or whatever it was....
So are you storing a certain type of soil that way? I have only used the miracle grow moisture stuff for years since I moved from dallas where I had a place that did homemade stuff and i used a old fashioned looking trashcan metal with tight lid.
Sorry so long I just am lost I dont see how soil wouldnt get moldy in a plastic container with a lid.. but then mine didmt in dallas but it wasnt damp.. ever. So is yours like my old soil no moisture just dry mix?
