I've only canned tomatoes in various forms. This was my first year for canning ANYTHING! I'm a city girl by heart (born and raised in Chicago on a 25' wide lot with a backyard that was about 10' x 10').
But I had so many tomatoes this year, I couldn't resist trying my hand at canning. I'd taken a class offered by Master Gardeners a while back, and followed recipes carefully. My favorite thing I canned this year was tomato jam. It was just the perfect combination of sweet/spicy/savory. I will look up and post my recipe shortly.
Can't wait to see other recipes.
