Paul, your tomatoes are just beautiful and that recipe sounds wonderful.

We only grow the Sunsugar after discovering them a couple of years ago, and have convinced many of our friends to do the same. Yesterday I picked a huge pan full and froze them for winter and if the weather holds, there will be many more to freeze. I will have to find that large yellow one for next years garden. If they taste as good as the small ones, I will be very happy!!!

I canned several more quarts of the large red ones yesterday, and there are so many more coming. I canned so much marinara sauce last year, that I don't need to do that this year, so it just all goes into stewed tomatoes. I would like to do another batch of the Strawberry Basil jam before all that beautiful basil freezes, but need to get more jars. Shopko is having a great sale on jars starting on Thursday, so will be there when it opens.
Cukes are coming on like crazy and are so good yet. Usually by this time they are getting bitter, but not this year. I should make more frig pickles, but am running out of space. My daughters new recipe is so much better than my old one---way less sugar. I love learning something new from her. She is such a great cook!!!
Happiness is doing for those who cannot do for themselves.
