I am in Denver and it gets pretty cold here but it is a dry windy cold.

If Greg does not have any seed you might try Sunscapes rare plant nursery in Pueblo CO. He offers plants but you could contact him to ask about seeds. He has a relationship with the Rocky Mtn Plant Society and Denver Botanical Gardens. Given they are in the foothills of the Mtns he might be able to tell you more. This is what his catalog says.

BUKINICZIA cabulica - (Plumbaginaceae) Blue-green rosettes with unusual mottled leaves. Outstanding foliage plant with pink flowers the second year. Reseeds nicely. Pakistan 1"(6") x 6" Sun, Biennial
