What you need to do, is leave them in the pot for a few days, and sit them in different areas of your yard, till they find thier happy place. Once they sit in one place for 4 - 5 days, and they show no stress, then I would plant them there. But everything I have read about the variegated leaves is, they are slow growers, and they are pretty finnicky, and don't like a lot of sun, like the other brugs do.
Keep us posted, as how they grow for you.
