I have the window open; the weather is mild and there's a sweet breeze. Kaly, my 14 year old cat, is lounging on the window sill which I padded with a couple of hand towels.
Generally I very much dislike the experience of having to listen to someone else's choice in music; more often than not, it's drek, to put it gently. But right now, somebody across the back alley and down a ways is having some kind of party, and there is a live jazz band, playing some delightful easy jazz. I am enjoying this very much! Whoever they are, they're quite good. They did bump up the volume a little while ago, and I do hope they don't do that again, but for now, I'm enjoying this. Even the singer is decent.
And I can always close the window.
