Rather than link to just one photo, I now use a "search" link to all of my photos of a specific plant.

for example, I have an entry for Abies balsamea 'Nana'

this conifer died after 3 years, as my photo link shows:

I have this link in my google spreadsheet, details on how I did this are in another post...
