Ken and Deborah, I feel your pain, literally! Same issues with back pain, pain radiating down my right leg. Using a shovel really amps up the pain. I can't squat for long at ALL, and more than a couple hours of driving is not good. I haven't picked up anything heavier than a basket of laundry for a few years. Wishing everyone a 'good back' day!!

It got almost that cold here last night, 59. Not really that cold, but sure feels it after sweating at 93 deg. yesterday. After coffee, I hope I find myself outside doing something productive. No excuses, unless I come up with a new one - LOL!

As for the topic of this discussion, the damaged palm trees still look dead, some have been removed. Some of the damaged Cycads around town are growing new tops from the base. And yesterday I realized that in general, Cannas are pitiful this year. Not sure what % goes to extra cold, what % to about 6 weeks of no rain, but noticed none of the patches I regularly observe 'out there' are as big as they usually are/have been in previous years.
The golden rule: Do to others only that which you would have done to you.

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now. (-Unknown)
