Marilyn, I saw the spacing recommendation in the printed catalog, although it seems whenever I go back to the catalog to find something, I have difficulty finding it! I space Hyacinths about 3-4" apart.
I broke down and ordered from Colorblends today. I hadn't really concentrated on Tulips in my ordering this year, other than a few species and a couple of bags of 10 from B&B, and have kept looking at a couple of areas that just need fat displays of Tulips. I've only ever planted Tulips in groups of single varieties, and have drooled over those color coordinated blends, so I'm finally going to be able to see them with my own eyes! I ordered The French Rose blend, Gentle Giants, Strike Me Pink, Three Queens, and 100 of straight early single variety, 'Flair'
Speaking of which, 'Flair' is one I chose because Brent&Becky's catalog says they've returned for several years in their garden.
