I have never liked most Chihuahuas, they bark all the time and several I have know will just sit and shake, if a stranger is around. Then I was down at Nadines in south Texas and someone drops off one near our home. Maggi informed me of this over the phone and I was hoping she would be gone before I got home, she wasn't. I was home for three days before she ever barked and she has never meet a stranger. The biggest problem we have is making sure she doesn't run up to a car, begging to get in and go for a ride. I work near a golf course and she is always jumping in peoples seat wanting to ride. Years ago I was knocked down by two Dobermans as soon as I opened the door and from that time on, I make the dogs wait until I give the command before they can go through. Poppy has learned this on her own, watching the other dogs, not because I was teaching her. She is one of the smartest dogs I have ever worked with and I trained dogs for 15 years.
