Assuming that you are new to daylilies, you are just wanting something pretty in your garden. Find a reputable nursery and order some inexpensive ones you like. There are many to choose from! Hybridizing can be fun, but it can also take a couple years to get a bloom-starting w seed, and you may not even like the looks of the bloom. The seed will produce a genetically different plant from the one you started with. In short, just buy some pretty plants. Maybe later when you become more familiar with dl and the different forms, colors and characteristics, you can dabble in some hybridizing. That way you will have a better idea of what your goals are and what you like or don't like ect.
