Thanks for the reply.

As you know, I'm new to gardening, and I had no idea that plants would produce buds that don't open (aka one of my first purchases, a gardenia plant, which I have spent the most money on -- in the form of fertilizers, etc. -- whose buds never opened) or blooms that don't progress further (aka my Chinese Lanterns, which are blooming away, but alas, apparently no bees to pollinate the flowers so that they will become lanterns). Sad

Gonna start the laundry room (earlier darkness for it) routine again on the Kalanchoe, looking forward to its beautiful orange flowers.

Lastly, the "The Top Sempervivums and Sedums" post on the home page is just astonishing -- simply gorgeous plants, and I recognize many people who post here regularly. :)

My wish list of succulents is growing pretty long now, LOL.
