Thanks so much for the identification. I will make labels now. Or at the very least, I will put it "my spiral-can't-live-without" notebook.
All my pots have a good drainage hole. A lot of the pots I buy at thrift stores, or even on sale in places like Old Time Pottery, don't have the drainage holes, but my husband drills them for me. The smaller porcelain type pots are the hardest to drill into. He's broken a few, but I don't get upset because I probably hadn't paid more than 50-75 cents for it.
The only time I got worried about excess water was last month when we had so much rain, and every day for such a long time. That's when I covered them up, but rolled the plastic up when the rain stopped periodically as I didn't want them to sweat. Since that kind of weather was unusual I'm not worried that this is going to be a regular chore for us.
