The Datura is from seed that I found last fall that had to be at least two years old. I dropped a few in a succulent pot before I put things away for winter. I saw the Datura seedlings emerge in the pot around February. This plant grew long and spindley and the purple of the flowers faded with each round of blooms. I'm sure the lack of consistent watering this summer had something to do with it, but sowing old seeds may have been a problem also. Looks like it's about to croak now. I did save some seeds, but I wonder if they will produce even more faded flowers?
