And now I am pretty much moving my attention to my "fall hoop house" -- I'm hoping to still be harvesting a few things at Christmas time, then take a month or two off, and then have some things coming up again (way earlier than would be normal for my gardening season.

After the cover that came with this frame several years ago disintegrated after one year, I had a problem with figuring out how I could possible cover the rounded frame without a major construction project. So I applied myself a bit more diligently and came up with a plan, bought the lumber, and, with the help of DH got the framing assembled and then covered with some plastic. This year I just used cheap plastic, not greenhouse film (which is UV protected), on a trial basis; if it works out well I will likely consider a more long-lasting material.
