I'm growing gymnocalycium mihanovichii, both the green one and grafted purple. The grafted purple has neon pink flowers on top and for two weeks they stopped growing and never opened but are still on the cactus. The green one opened its flower today and bloomed light pink. I was hoping to Hybridize them but that isn't happening now.

I pollinated the flower right away with a q tip running pollen on the stigma, within 40 minutes the flower was completely closed!

Is this cactus species self fertile and that is why it closed right away? Why is my other not opening they get the same care.
