I am one of those people who has to follow a recipe exactly until I feel comfortable enough that I can guesstimate or substitute. I haven't made jelly in about 30 years, so I had to have at least a starting point on how much sugar to use.
That is a good idea to add more apple juice if there is not enough BB juice. We have had so much rain this past week, I haven't been outside to see if the berries are ripe enough yet, but if I do make some, I will certainly post a picture here,
