Just make sure that companion plants dn't shade the rhizomes. Companions look pretty. but as Arlyn says that can be a bother, we start with dwarf irises & go through the talls. the Siberians are in a separate bed by themselves. They have more shade than I like, but dug the present bed to replace the first one which became too shady & we are too old to do that again. Maintenance is enough.
