Mystery solved! One of the neighbor's father died and the funeral was today. He was, among other things a pyro technician, His sons are probably doing a fire works display in his honor, I'm guessing. I didn't see anything at first, some of the first ones must have been just noise makers. Now they are doing the colorful ones. Had me wondering for a while there!
