The amount of water the atmosphere can hold is almost unimaginable. Here's a chart that, at least, will put it a little bit in perspective. The seedling garden I'm working in this Fall is about 20 feet by about 50 feet or 1000 square feet. Using 43,560 sq. ft. per acre, I calculated nearly 1200 gallons fell in there during Monday and Tuesday's rainfall of 1.90 inches. Unreal!
