I get an extreme reaction to tick bites...the area is very swollen & inflamed, even with antibiotic cream on it.....my doc usually puts me on antibiotics because of my history with tick-borne disease...I was on prednisone for 10 years because of the bacterial arthritis I got after a tick bite.....my rheumatologist never called it Lyme....just said it was bacterial, & may have been Lyme.....
