I hope Green Lotus does well for you. I bought it this year along with some other new ones. It is in full sun.

I have a slight slope by my pond (we are talking very small little sloping area) and I planted a tree peony there thinking the drainage should be good (lilies love it) and it is in all but 7/24 sun. I have nursed it along for two years now in some less than great spots so I am hoping it will do well here. It has pips at the base of the stem which is always a good sign. I only have one other peony, a herbaceous, that refuses to bloom. It sits next to Bev who blooms her head off so I know it isn't the garden. Nor do I think it is too low in the ground. Well, perhaps next year. Bev and Mackinac Grand are my outstanding favorites for strong long stems and robust lovely blooms in great number.
