Red Corsair looks like it would be a great one to grow on our fence. It's a split-rail white fence, and it would take 30 roses to cover it properly, so I'll have to wait a few years for that to fit in my budget. I wanted Julia's Rose and Brigadoon, but both sold out. I ordered Angel Veranda a few years ago, and discovered this summer that mine is a mislabeled Monte Carlo Country Club. I am sure of this because my other Monte Carlo Country Club is just a few feet away! I wish I had noticed this sooner. This is the only instance where Palatine has sent me a mislabeled rose.
i thought about ordering a 2nd Summer Sun since that one is so beautiful.
Are there any on this list that are really not good roses? I realize they perform differently in different places.
Or any great ones that I missed?
I went through the catalog and marked the ones I already have--85 of my very best roses. Most were purchased from Palatine. Guess I'm a good customer.
I'm crossing my fingers about planting in the fall. Spring is sooo unpredictable here, except for the winds. That is a sure thing. Fall is usually calmer.
