Gee, at just 30°F I still had three different species impatiens (Asian, not the regualar African types) blooming. But they didn't take the 24°F of a couple nights ago.

A technicality (and I think everyone here already knows I'm a stickler with botanical terms), but some species actually do wedge or curl leaves to gain support. I think nasturtiums attempt to use their stems.
