Maybe it's confused because it came from the Southern hemisphere, Ursula? Or maybe it will bloom in the spring too! We're not concerned, it's lovely.

Love the enormous floofy flowers on 'White Lightning' too. Somehow the floof doesn't look quite as ostentatious when it's on a white flower.
