Thanks Francois! I was doing a lot of things wrong, then.

Will need to bring them indoors in the summer here, to keep the temps down. Also a lighter soil mix than I was using will surely help. Full sun is a relative term, comparing Montreal to Florida, but I was keeping mine in the shade, so will give it some morning and later afternoon sun and see how we do.

So, if I catch a bug or mosquito, can I just drop it in the flower? It doesn't need live insects?
