Putting that burlap (or was it moss) around the wire made a big difference in those planters! I started a wreath with some of the extra semps that came when I bought them this summer, plus dividing up the clumps from the NoIDs in our front bed -- I probably should have taken a picture, but it really still looks so scraggly! I poked sheet moss around the edges, and now it's all bundled up in remay like the pots and the rock garden and put in a sheltered spot next to where the foundation meets the entryway... Next spring!

That pond looks lovely! Chilly, maybe, but it's large enough to help moderate your temperatures. Our pond is much smaller than that, but we still notice a big difference down there -- it's closer to zone 5 than zone 4.

Now we're waiting for the cold front to end our nice little break later today -- and hopefully we'll get enough snow, even though the current storms seem as if they're going south of us. Thank goodness for Lake Effect! Sticking tongue out
