Yes we do get that cold, just a few nights usually in the middle of winter in January. It is wacky here..in winter we can get that cold, and in summer we can hit as high as 110F.

But typically we hover in the low 40's and high 50's in winter, getting that 20's is a battle of wills concerning plants..can they take it or not. Rolling my eyes. And it is so bad if it happens to rain before that 20's come..my succulents outdoors which most of them are, will just have to bear it as best as they can. I can only hide the smaller ones and the orchids..the rest stays there.
