I think alot of it will come back. I have a huge Jatropha Int. in my front yard that turned totally brown but the stems are still nice and green and flexible so I am waiting for new growth. I see new green leafs coming up through the dead ones on the bananas. Surprisingly, my salvias, cupheas, scaredy cat coleus show no signs of damage. I uncovered everything I had buried under 6 inches of hay (mostly aroids) and most things look like they will rebound. Even some of my brugs survived outside with no protections, just fried leaves & blooms.
