Giving some protection to some of my more tender succulents, it has been raining on and off. I love the rain..we need it badly, just the timing as always when it is into cold season, not the best for some of the succulents. So changing some items in the growcamp, learning from my mishaps and pitfalls in previous years. So have taken indoors most of the orchids that stay there during the warm and dry season, changing places with some of the succulents that can take the cold as long as kept dry. Have added extra mylar and bubblewrap..hope it helps a bit. So far overnight temps still manageable, just hit 39F once..it is in January and February that the real test of being cold takes its toll on some of the succulents especially if it happens to rain too. I allowed some to get some rain, then I hide them here to dry out, so they won't take more rain than they can take. Most of the succulents slow down in growth when it is cold anyways, just have to keep them dry.

Crassulas, Aeoniums, Sempervivums, Anacampseros, Epiphyllums, Echeverias, Graptoverias, Rock Purslane, Haworthias , some cacti they all stay out..they can handle the cold and rain in my area. Desert Rose, Beucarnea recurvata, Hoya kerrii variegata, Plumeria stay indoors during cold season. One hold out for now is Plumeria Celadine, I like this one, it does take the gradual cold very well, so it is still outside too.
