Ouch! Glad it was a clean break and will heal up like new for you.

But, like you say, you can take the time to check out some info on wintersowing. I see that you are in the same zone 7b as I am. I like to wait until later in the winter to do my 'winter sowing' since we never know if we might have a warm spell and then another cold snap, again and again! So you have time to get everything together, start saving some milk jugs or other containers.
