No, not asking you to make a list, check it twice. What I'm talking about is that if one does a search on here of plant characteristics and checks only the box to find those noted as house plants, there's only 175 results (at the time I'm writing this.)
I hope folks will look up their plants on here and see if they say 'house plant.' If not, you can contribute this attribute to the plant by clicking "edit plant details." There's a TON of stuff there, but the house plant checkbox is under "uses," about halfway down. You earn acorns for contributing info to plants. And while you're at it, if you haven't done so already, you can click the blue button on the left to add it to your plant list. So many house plants I look at that I know tons of people have say only a small number of people own it. (And then if you ever forget what a plant of yours is, you can just look at your list.)
If anyone finds a house plant that doesn't know it's a house plant (yet,) and doesn't want to fool with editing, please mention it here, somebody will take care of it.
Obviously, not every plant that's brought into a house does well, but those that regularly, commonly live for years as house plants, and have been in commerce for years as house plants, could and should be given this attribute. If you get bored this winter, or have time sooner, give it a click!
