Donald, thank you! My favorite thing about Hoya lacunosa is the fragrance of the blooms! Which Hoya do you currently grow? Hoya lacunosa: http://garden.org/plants/searc... is a smaller leaf variety and I've had so-so luck with keeping this particular hoya alive at times. About eight years ago I had six hanging baskets of H. lacunosa and they did well for about a year but then for some unknown reason they began to decline and die. I never did any research to see if I could figure out what the problem was. I currently have one H. lacunosa that started looking like the stems were dying back so I cut off the dead parts, repotted it and hung it in a backyard tree where it's been all year and it was looking really good until two days ago when we had 5 1/2 inches of rain (in one day!) and two nights that have dropped into the lower 40's. Cold and wet are not good for any container plant and although I grow everything in a chunky, fast draining mixture of potting soil and orchid bark mix, I will more than likely have fungal issues. Sad
