I don't know what mine is. Probably the most common Hoya available. It was passed along to me by my sister-in-law when she moved. She'd been growing it for years and it originally was passed along to her by her mother who had grown it for a few decades. It's been around for a while and it's the only one I've ever had. It is just extraordinarily tough. Seems to handle anything that gets thrown at it. Scorching dry heat, direct sun, shade, sitting in water, high wind, hail, being dried out, not buggy except for some little yellow aphid like things which seem to have no effect on the plant at all. I can't make the big plant keep really nice leaves all the time - my weather is just too harsh, I think -, but there's a cutting that I keep inside that maintains dark green glossy leaves with silver flecks. It blooms when it wants too, not on any schedule. In 2013 it decided to bloom all summer and kept blooming after I'd brought it in the garage for the winter until the end of Dec. Blooms are pale pink with a darker pink star. Slight fragrance starting at sundown. It's been such a reliable plant that I've wanted to try another one. I have never seen one for sale around this area, but yours looks really appealing. Maybe mail order :). Thanks for the name. I put it on the plant wish list.
