I'm trying to start a small colony so that each year there will be some blooming. This is the very first seedling and It is basically an educated guess on my part that this is 'Tower of Jewels'. I'm too, too, too familiar with all the seedlings that pop-up here and are usually unwanted plants. This is right next to the remains of a bloomed parent and it is something I haven't seen here before. And I've been looking for seedlings weekly. One of the three parent plants is going on to year three to bloom. They are so worth the wait and look great in the non-blooming year too. We had many, for us, frozen nights this winter and they did great. But your zoned out I see and they don't like summer rains. I think the snow would crush them. Bummer. I'll be watching this ones progress closely to see how quickly it grows and looking for more sprouts. I tip my hat to you. P.S. Loved your tree photo. Congratulations!
