I like that pinkish child/grandchild. First flowers always make you wonder if they'll be the same in the future. I especially see such differences when grown in different/more stressful conditions compared to good conditions. It happens even with native plants. Here's an intersting one, Lilium papilliferum (and the exact same plant), 1 - grown in drier clay soil and full sun, 2- grown in sand and compost in part sun. The second flower is almost twice the size of the first, too.
