Are you able to show a pic looking straight @ the bloom opening? No doubt it's difficult to find reliable pics of Schlumbergeras besides S. truncata. Don't think I've ever seen a "for sure" S. russelliana to have a basis for comparison. There is a Schlumbergera facebook group, though I don't visit often to know the general level of knowledge there. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
