Gripe away. Although, I'd probably call it expressing a lifestyle preference.
Saw a recipe for cauliflower that I modified and tried out today. Will make changes for next time, but this one worked well enough.
Equal amounts grated raw potato and finely chopped cauliflower florets (not the stems). I used frozen cauliflower, but fresh should work and you could use frozen shredded potatoes, too. Added garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and a little flour. Tossed it all to mix. Added Parmesan and shredded Cheddar cheeses, tossed again. Add a beaten egg and stirred. Melted butter in heavy frying pan, patted the whole mixture into the pan. Cooked on low until brown, flipped, then cooked on medium-low until brown. Next time, I will use more cauliflower to less potato; use less butter; add finely diced onion to the mix; put spoonfuls of batter in the pan instead of one big flatcake; and put snipped parsley on top when ready to eat.
EDITED TO ADD: I squeezed the water out of the grated potato before mixing, otherwise the seasonings and flour might have made a gummy mess. :-p
